Ora Cogan announces Bury Me 7”, shares single Lucile

Ora Cogan announced the April 4 release of the Bury Me 7-inch EP today, sharing the first single "Lucile."

Bury Me is the result of a ceaseless dedication to creativity. While holed up in her Nanaimo, BC studio working on the follow-up to 2023’s Formless, Cogan couldn’t help but keep writing. The songs are foggy, cryptic companions to the songs written for the upcoming LP that took a form of their own necessitating a separate release. With the help of legendary cellist Lori Goldston (Nirvana) Swedish violinist Ester Thunander, co-producers Tom Deis and David Parry (Loving), and long-time collaborators Finn Smith & Al Murray the songs fleshed themselves out over the backdrop of a dreary, cold winter.

Lead single “Lucile,” available now wherever music is streamed, proclaims that fantasy serves not just as an escape but as a transformation of pain, taking words on a page and turning them into something beautiful, visceral, and necessary. The repetition of that fantasy yields new, magical results with each read.

Bury Me arrives on April 4, 2025, as a limited edition 7” available on her upcoming tour dates in Europe around the Roadburn Festival & this summer across North America supporting Loving. You can pre-order the vinyl version via her Bandcamp and pre-save it on Spotify.
